HOW I WORK
I start by defining the purpose, audience, content, and constraints. Then I build a solution that is practical to produce and effective in use. “I’ve never done that before” means an interesting problem to solve—not an automatic no.
CURRENT WORK
I produce the PCT Communicator for the Pacific Crest Trail Association: a full-color, 32-page glossy magazine published five times per year and sent to more than 5,000 members, along with hundreds of other constituents.
BACKGROUND
I received classical training as a designer and production artist, then returned to school to expand my computer and web skills. That combination lets me bring hands-on craft, production knowledge, and modern tools to a wide range of projects.
Rtwerk can also draw on trusted photography and print-production collaborators when a project needs broader support.
